MEINS leads the way with MV solutions for renewable energy at Intersolar Europe

MEINS arrived at Intersolar Europe, ready to unveil its latest innovations and medium voltage (MV) solutions for the renewable energy sector. "This is our first year with a booth, and we are proud of what we are doing," said Alejandro Gonzalez, CEO of MEINS. "In the renewable sector, we focus on medium voltage stations. We provide all our solutions in a precast concept, designing and tailoring each solution to fit every project, regulation, and customer. This is our success."

Located in Booth B5.214, the company presented its advancements in transformer stations, delivery stations, and HV compact substations, along with pioneering hydrogen (H2) generation projects.

"These showcases reaffirm MEINS's status as a key player in the renewable energy sector," Gonzalez emphasized. The company has become a leader in the supply and integration of transformer substations, distribution centers and substations for the photovoltaic, wind and battery storage markets. According to its CEO, the answer to this growth lies in the hard work that has been done since the company was founded in 1998 by current president Julian Herrero. “We have a committed team behind us and other factors like our fearless approach to entering new countries. We have no limits," the CEO added.

Hydrogen as a key

Discussing the hydrogen market strategy, Gonzalez noted, "We want to differentiate ourselves from the market trend. We focus our segment of the hydrogen market on what we understand as a transition in the hydrogen market. Our approach is mainly applicable to the mobility sector but also to Commercial and Industrial (C&I) applications. We are not developing large electrolyzers; instead, we are focusing on our hydrogen generation system based on ethanol reforming."

With more than 8 GW of installed capacity, a robust experience of 18 years in the Renewable energy market and presence in more than 34 countries, the company replicates its own designs and depend on themselves to adapt to different requirements. "Regarding the sector, we observe some projects, especially in Central European countries and Spain, our home base, facing delays beyond our expectations. However, we trust the situation will be resolved soon," Gonzalez continued.

Looking ahead, Gonzalez expressed optimism, "In the coming years, we anticipate significant challenges and opportunities in the battery sector."

MEINS's participation at Intersolar Europe not only highlighted its technological advancements but also underscored its strategic vision and commitment to driving innovation in the renewable energy industry.
